Many of our patients who have learned to administer home-treatments on themselves and family members, have reported that this technique is particularly useful in relieving tension caused by the day-to-day stresses of modern life. NSEV Healing is also notable in its preventive orientation to disease and its philosophy of achieving and maintaining total health and balance.

NSEV Healing & Acupuncture treatments always treat the whole person. Whatever symptoms the patient comes in with, this method always diagnoses and treats the person’s core patterns of functioning. The ultimate goal of treatment is to achieve harmony among these functioning patterns, while at the same time alleviating the person’s pain and discomfort. Often patients come to treatment with a cluster of both physical and non-somatic symptoms. It is the job of the NSEV™ practitioner to understand how these symptoms are interrelated according to NSEV theory, and to choose the appropriate NSEV treatment.Each time a patient is treated by one of our physicians, the aim of the treatment is to relieve pain, both physical and emotional.

We also believe that a person’s surroundings and their relationship with the outside world are as important to health and well being as their internal systems of functioning, we pay special attention to establishing a supportive atmosphere in our offices. Relaxing music, soft lighting, and soothing aromas in treatment rooms set the tone for a warm and nurturing environment, reflecting the NSEV™ philosophy of healing.

Our treatments are simple yet comprehensive and profound.  Treatments usually last for approximately 40 minutes to an hour. In many cases, NSEV acupuncture sessions also involve herbal massage, heat therapy, cupping and/or moxibustion.. Our patients often are prescribed a specific formula of Chinese herbs to supplement and extend the effectiveness of the acupuncture treatments. In some cases, our practitioners may teach you and family members how to do home-care treatments in between office visits. Home-care may also involve techniques such as herbal massage and herbal heat therapy (moxibustion)
