Kathryn Lotspeich Villano, MD
Dr. Villano received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1997 where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. She practiced internal medicine for 6 years, mostly at Jackson Health Systems, providing primary care to Miami’s under-served populations. Dr. Villano continues to work with the under-served at the Lotus House, an Overtown shelter for homeless women and children. In 2008, Dr. Villano completed the UCLA Medical Acupuncture for Physicians program. Her focus is now NSEV which she has studied with Daniel Atchison- Nevel for the past two years, both with coursework and with weekly clinical time in his office, giving a perspective on both the theory and practice of NSEV. Dr. Villano is also trained in the acupuncture-based allergy therapy known as Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Techniques and has studied functional medicine with the Institute for Functional Medicine.
